Mercede s Carrión - Woman and Poet
March Spring
has frozen my veins,
sits back in winter
between the ice of the war ...
The war of my neighbors
which are a stone's throw
on African shores
sea that all houses.
Bedouin sands
are the scene of deeds,
of popular demands
justice , bread and plants
calling for reform
of some outdated laws.
The world watches terrified
the tyrant in its battlements
entrenched in hatred,
slaughtering without conscience
unarmed citizens
without shield or defense,
showing, span to span
its value in the brawl.
The revolution is necessary,
Street Revolution
abandoned by all
those who seek eternal
possession of fortune
retain those lands.
bickering between
treaties and full session
away watching death
and pain of the war.
Cease weapons soon,
that peace, fair, and again,
prayer is heard
of one who still reads.
