A little history:
The group starts in mid-2005 after some of the members
(Marcelo, Federico and Paul) are involved with the charango Daniel Navarro, in an event
Charango organized by the Argentine. Cell
was born later, with the entry of Pitu, gave rise to Wankani.

Currently, we have the collaboration of Eduardo Ocaranza musician who
brings experience from the composition and arrangement.
Since its inception, the commitment to develop the subject Wankani is
Andean and Latin American using traditional instruments and rhythms running
of the rich variety of American culture. Origin of the Name
WANKANI: term of Aymara origin
Wankani: Place where the sound echoes. Location
singing abounds
Wankani: Place located in the department of La Paz (Bolivia),
archaeological site located in the ancient region of Pacajes between the peoples of Jesus de Machaca and
Caquiaviri. In the same ancient ruins have been found previously to Tiahuanaco.
The repertoire chosen by Wankani can listen to different rhythms, such as:
Huayno, Takirari, Cueca, Trot, sorry, Candombe, Lando, Joropo Tinku
